North American Bullfrog I
This little fellow measures about four inches from nose to folded hind legs. I saw him out of the corner of my eye while walking along the north path of Lost Lagoon in Stanley Park. At first I thought someone had left a ceramic statue to fool unsuspecting people like myself as the frog sat completely motionless. However, as I could see the yellow section under the jaw move up and down I knew it was alive. Both I and a jogger who came by photographed it and crouched within a few feet of the little fellow and it didn't flinch. Never seen a frog this size before and believe it to be a NA bullfrog which is not native to BC.
